钢筋工程的现场工作，大部分转到专业化工厂进行，替代人工绑扎钢筋，有利于提高建筑工业化水平，符合中国建筑业的发展方向。

焊接网具有较好的综合经济效益。
虽然焊接网的单价高于散支钢筋，但是钢筋焊接网的原料-线材是由低碳热轧线材以冷拔或冷轧加工而成，线材之抗拉强度提高到550Mpa以上，设计强度比1级钢筋提高71%，考虑一些构造要求后仍可节省钢筋用量30%左右。再加上直径12mm以下散支钢筋加工费约为材料费的10%-15%，综合考虑（与1级钢筋相比）可降低钢筋工程造价5%-8%，国外可降低钢筋工程造价10%左右。另外，由于是工厂自动化生产线制作，钢筋网的损耗微乎其微。     

提高工程质量
钢筋焊接网是按照国际上通用的设计和工艺，由自动化生产线制造而成，生产过程以严格的质量管理，网格尺寸，钢筋规格等质量要求可得到有效控制，不会有工地人员绑扎遗漏，绑扎错误或偷工减料之情形发生，网片钢度大、弹性好、浇灌混凝土时，钢筋不易局部弯折，混凝土保护层厚度易于控制，而且均匀，因而明显提高工程质量。   

提高抗裂能力
钢筋焊接网的制造以过严谨的计算校核，再按设计规格准确编排，然后再通以电流使其纵横钢筋交叉点焊接到一起，整片网间隔尺寸整齐均一，其应力传递均匀，荷载可均匀传布于整个混凝土结构之上，可防止裂缝的发生。另外，焊接网的受力筋和分布筋可采用较小直径，配之以较密的钢筋间距，此外纵筋和横筋成网状结构，共同起粘结锚固作用，有利于防止混凝土裂缝产生和发展。依实际试验结果，道路铺设钢筋网比不铺钢筋网，能够减少75%以上裂缝发生。

提高生产效率
使用钢筋网可省去现场绑扎等时间，平均每吨钢筋可以节省十六个工时。举例来说：以每平方公尺配置10公斤钢筋量的混凝土加强结构而言，传统钢筋所需的工时每个人每一吨需要22小时，而使用钢网只需6小时，整体而言钢网可以节省1/2到3/4的工时。利于后续混凝土施工等安排，缩短施工工期，因工期缩短而节省的各种费用更大，同时节省大量的加工场地，有利于文明施工和环境保护，综合经济效益很高。

四、适用范围：

钢筋焊接网可应用于多层和高层商业建筑、机场跑道、公路、隧道、桥梁、混凝土管道、水利坝基、码头、仓库以及污水处理池等钢筋混凝土结构中。

标准钢筋网Standard Fabric

标准钢筋网钢筋直径可由4毫米至16毫米不等,标准网片尺寸为4.8米×2.1米。Standard Fabric is widely available with wire sizes ranging from 4mm to 16mm and in a standard sheet size of 4.8m × 2.1m

四种标准型为:The four standard types are:

	A型:   方格钢筋网。       纵、横向钢筋直径相同，纵、横向钢筋间距均为200毫米。可用于两个方向配筋量接近的楼板或墙体。 Type A: Square mesh fabric. This has wires of the same size and has spacing of 200mm. Both longitudinally and transversely. It is used where a slab or wall needs the same area of reinforcement in both directions.
	B型:   建筑结构网。        这类钢筋网一般用于两个方向配筋量差异显著的情况。其中一方向为主要配筋强化方向，而另一方向仅为分布钢筋，可按施工规范给予最小配筋量。这类钢筋网的纵向钢筋间距为100毫米，横向钢筋问距为200毫米。        Type B: Structural mesh fabric. This is generally used where the main reinforcement in one direction and the reinforcement in the other direction is the minimum required by codes of practice. This has a main wire spacing of 100mm and cross wire spacing of 200mm.
	C型:   长格钢筋网。 适用于某些结构，其配筋强化只侧重于一个方向，另一方向仅起架立钢筋的作用，且无须符合任何最低要求。这类钢筋网的纵向钢筋间距为100毫米，横向钢筋问距为400毫米。       Type C: Long mesh fabric. This is used in structures where the main reinforcement is in one direction and the reinforcement in the other direction does not have to meet any minimum requirements and serves only to hold the main reinforcement in place. It has a main wire spacing of 100mm and cross wire spacing of 400mm.
	D型:   小方格钢筋网。 纵、横向钢筋间距均为100毫米。其中小直径的‘轻’网可用于防火或立柱间连系等用途。另外，亦可用于梁套内使其强化。大直径的‘重’网则适用于大跨距重型楼板或道路铺筑。        Type D: Small square mesh fabric. With spacing of 100mm both ways, the ‘lighter’fabric is mainly used in wrapping for fire protection and for links in columns. It is also used as nominal reinforcement in beam cages. The ‘heavier’fabric is useful in long span heavy-duty two way suspended slabs and road pavements.
